Van Driver

Job Title: Van Driver/ Warehouse Op
Pay: £11.50 PH – £11.96 after 12 weeks 
Basis: Temp to Perm
Location: Redditch
Shift: Days – Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30 

Job Description:
– Goods in process from Redditch
– Carry out the physical loading of Glass sheets/products
– Processing customer same day/next day requirements
– Driving a 3.5t works vehicle- Delivering Customer requirements in a timely manner and a saleable condition
– Quality control, minor rectification work and reporting of all issues to Line Manager
– Performing all Activities to the sites Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
– Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the Van
– High focus on Health & Safety within the branch and on delivery
– Always Maintaining a professional appearance, in both presence and driving behavior
– Delivery Point Assessments- Safety reporting

As a person you will need:
– Be over 21+ due to insurance purposes
– Right to work within the UK
– Be happy to conduct drug/alcohol tests frequently
– Hold a Full Driving Licence with 3 years driving experience (0-3 points Max SP50/SP30)
– Be OK with physical work/Manual Handling
– Have a good attention to detail (dealing with fragile products)
– Have good IT skills, with the ability to use Excel
– Previous experience of working to SOP’s
– Can work effectively as part of a team and when working alone
– Have good verbal and written communications skills
– Attention to detail
– will be checking stock and working with a specific alpha/numeric coding
– Working pattern (which include Bank Holidays) and alternate Saturday mornings
– Flexibility to cover different shifts for holiday and absence periods
– Experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle
– Experience of multi drop customer deliveries
