Job Description

Trade Counter Sales Manager

Gloucester

Monday–Friday 07:30–16:30

Saturdays – 8:00–12:00

Salary – £28,000-£32,000 (Dependant on experience and amount of Saturdays worked per month)

 

You must have the flexibility to work at least one Saturday morning per month, and you may work up to 4 Saturdays if you can do so.

Our Gloucester based client, are looking for a sales driven individual, who understands the importance of excellent customer service, with skills and experience of managing a team. You must be fully versed in all aspects of retail management, including administrative tasks for the department and maintaining quality customer service. You will be a pivotal contact for our clients customers by managing the trade counter, and forming great relationships and understanding the customers needs to offer expert advice and recommendations. You must work with our clients safety consultants to ensure the policies and procedures are adhered to for the Health and Safety of both the colleagues and customers.

 

Duties:

  • Providing first class customer service and building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers
  • Strong product knowledge (Full training will be provided)
  • Weighbridge operator (Full training will be provided)
  • Generating reports for senior management and the accounts department
  • Managing the retail desk and offering advice to customers on products and services
  • Dealing with customer queries or complaints
  • Overseeing pricing and stock control on the Company systems
  • Supervising a small team of department and yard staff
  • Department administration
  • Develop department goals, sales propositions and opportunities which meet customer needs in order for us to be competitive in the local market.
  • Following and maintaining company policies and procedures
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for the department and the small team
  • Adhering to the Health and Safety for the department and the team
  • Supporting the aggregate department in pricing and system administration

  • Experience in retail management
  • Inspirational and engaging leader, who can motivate and encourage their team.
  • Someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Commercially minded and someone who has some office experience.
  • Someone that is highly self-motivated, highly organised and adaptable.
