Location: Birmingham

Salary:   Around 35k pa depending on experience     

Hours:   Full Time Mon – Thurs 8.30 – 5pm (30mins lunch) Fri 8 – 2pm

Our Client is a  leading metal spinning company, based in Birmingham, in which a new vacancy has arisen for a Technical Sales Engineer. The company has been established for 75 years and has been successful in developing a solid customer base servicing a number of varied industries.

Job Role

This role includes preparing and following up quotations therefore it is important that you have an engineering background and the ability to read technical drawings.  You will also be dealing with all customer requirements, liaising with production plus general administrative duties and tasks as required.  Whilst working as part of a small team, we require the ability to work under your own initiative whilst being comfortable communicating with management as this role reports to and works alongside the General Manager.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Experience in engineering manufacture with a minimum qualification of HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, with the ability to read technical drawings.
• Candidates must have GCSE Math’s & English (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.
• Excellent IT skills are essential with strong proven knowledge of Excel.
• Good Working Knowledge of Sage 50 would be beneficial but not essential.
