Sheet Metal Worker

A position has become available for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker in Rugby for a high-end manufacturing company.
 
Salary: £15-£17 PH DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week: Monday to Thursday – 07:30- 16:30, Friday – 07:00-12:30
Area: Rugby 
 
Day to day duties and responsibilities:
 

Examine drawings and specifications to assess job requirements.
Use templates, measuring instruments and tools to mark out and reference points.
Use hand or machine tools to bend, roll, fold, press or jig chase sheet metal.
Check final product to ensure conformity with specifications.
Finish product by grinding, filing, cleaning, and polishing.
Ensure all gauges, fixtures and visual aids are kept clean and in good condition, reporting any damage and/or corrective actions.
Adhere to company product quality standards.
Maintain clean and orderly workspace.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work on your own initiative within a busy work environment

 
Requirements for this position

Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
Ability to make tooling to achieve complex bends and radius’s 0.6mm-10mm thick in most materials. Our brake press has the capacity to bend up to 3 metres in length.

Dependability – Job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and being able to fulfill obligations.
Attention to Detail – Job requires high attention to detail and thorough completion of work tasks.
A minimum of 2 years experience in the field.
