A position as become available for a Quality Technician
Completing quality assurance functions to help support, NPI and technical projects, production and business functions in general. Candidate should have experience in basic quality functions, 8D problem solving, APQP, etc.
Ensure data collection for departmental KPI’s are kept up to date and identify issues in preparation for monthly reviews
Have experience and ability to support internal audit activities, and support supplier audits where necessary
Provide administrative support for the quality department in general, coordination of product approval documents, data collection sheets, material certification archiving, FAIR & ITP document control.
Be a flexible cover for inspection activities; candidate must be capable of visual inspection, paint inspection, general patrol auditing and product inspection, lab inspection activities, basic CMM. – Basic CMM and Lab Inspection training will be provided.
Provide support for production activities
Support material activities, such as analysis on arrival, and traceability.
Provide support on Warranty administration
As a Person you will need the following:
To maintain the KPI’s are up to date
Have the ability to cover for other members during Annual holidays
Assist production where necessary
Ensure condition monitoring reports are completed and reviewed.
Conducting internal audits.
Be responsible for raising local 8Ds and co-ordinating actions through liaison with engineering and sales teams (ensuring product investigation and root cause is assigned and acted upon).
Assist sales and quality departments in problem resolution.
Assist and support with new project Quality activities
Do you have the following skills and experience:
Experience within the automotive or equivalent industry and knowledge of the core quality tools.
Experience in auditing systems.
Background in batch production in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Good report writing skills
Excellent communication skills
A HNC in engineering or equivalent experience in manufacturing discipline
