Job Description

Job title:     Office Manager 

Location:    Slough SL3

Salary:        Up to £30,000 per annum – DOE

Hours:         8am – 5pm (flexible)


Our client, who is one of the leading Road Transport Companies, are looking for an experienced Office Manager to be responsible for managing clerical tasks, supervising office staff, coordinating with workshop and transport admin, and providing excellent Customer Service.


Day to day responsibilities:


  • A ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges 
  • Act as key operations leader
  • Build relationships with Clients through constant contact and advocacy by offering advice, solutions, and proactive issue management. 
  • Manage clerical, administrative, and secretarial tasks among office staff
  • Develop and implement plans that will lead to improvement in company profit
  • Maintain an open dialogue with other units’ managers so as to organize activities that will enhance the company’s general performance
  • Oversee the order process to maintain standard KPIs.
  • Data analysis and Oversight of schedule and operations
  • Supervise and coordinate with workshop and transport administration
  • Ensuring continuous review and improvements of operational processes to ensure accuracy, standards, and compliance
  • Respond to more complex inquiries and complaints
  • Develop a best-in-class team and workplace culture and effectively manage performance and talent development
  • Deliver upon contract service level agreements, expectations, and value proposition
  • Conduct safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standard
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the Fleet, Transport and Workshop department
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective management
  • Any other task as mentioned by the management
  • MOT and other repairs to be taken care of




Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of the fleet and transport management software
  • Strong understanding of warehouse,fleet and transport
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application
  • Ability to manage comprehensive reviews
  • Experience in budget forecasts and projections
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Understanding of warehouse methods, costs, and benefits
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicles, engines, and mechanical systems
  • Numeracy accuracy
