Job Title: CNC Turner Setter/CNC Miller Setter

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Location: Bristol

Hours: Hours: 6am-2pm Mon – Thurs 6am-11am Fri // 2pm-10pm Mon-Thurs 11am-4pm Fri

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 DOE

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a CNC Turner to assist in the manufacturing of parts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved, and high quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.

Essential:

⦁ Setting and Operating CNC Lathe Machines using Fanuc controls/ Heidenhain Mills
⦁ Producing high complexity components from a range of materials
⦁ Adhering to quality standards
⦁ Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and Engineering drawings

Desirable:

⦁ Previous aerospace experience
⦁ Previous experience in a similar position as a CNC Lathe Machinist
⦁ Good working knowledge of component dimensions using various inspection equipment – including but not limited to Micrometers, Verniers and Plug Gauges.
⦁ Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by internal and external customer specification

Key responsibilities:

⦁ Involvement and attendance at SQDCP meetings in assigned area/s
⦁ Ensuring performance of part production to planned set and run times and Quality requirements
⦁ Communicating Not right first time (NRFT) within assigned areas
⦁ Recording and assisting the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned Team areas and personal responsibility of machines being operated
⦁ Responsible for attending and participating in progress meetings as required
⦁ Responsible for ensuring correct materials, Route Cards, drawing are used to produce components
⦁ Setting up tools, offsets etc ready for your own operation to commence and assist Operators where appropriate
⦁ Ensuring Delivery Schedule Adherence of parts to system / route card dates
⦁ Responsible for ensuring work is completed on time in full to process routing / system date requirements
⦁ Setting and Operating CNC Lathe Machines using Fanuc controls.
⦁ Producing high complexity components from a range of materials
⦁ Adhering to quality standards
⦁ Expected to be proactive and helpful to other to ensure problems are dealt with in a timely manner
