Job Title: CNC Turner Setter

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Location: Cheltenham

Hours: Mon – Thurs 07:30am-4:30pm / Fri 07:30am-1:00pm

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000

They are looking for a Turner Setter that can work with Mazatrol controls.

About the role:

⦁ To follow the works orders and use existing NC code to run repeat production jobs on CNC machines.
⦁ To be able to identify and draw to Team Leaders attention any non-conformance, potential improvements, or discrepancies.
⦁ Perform the inspection of product to Works Order/Drawing requirements using digital, analogue and CMM instrumentation prior to the Inspection Dept.
⦁ To ensure a high level of care to achieve right first time, every time.
⦁ Hand and machine debur areas to complete a part before moving on to the next Operation.
⦁ Inform Account Team Leaders of required changes to methods of manufacture to maintain planned hours and quality.
⦁ Safely moving parts around the factory in correct packaging to ensure zero defects. Moving items from your operation on to the next operation to ensure minimal downtime between operations.
⦁ Capable of running multiple machines at the same time.
⦁ Follow work instructions or verbal instructions – drawing attention to discrepancies where necessary
⦁ Supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives such as LEAN & 6S
⦁ Ensure your workstation is always clean and orderly to ensure optimum conditions for right first time methodology. This includes cleaning the machine where possible and keeping the floor clean in your immediate area.
⦁ Ensure work holding, tooling and other machine tool equipment is stored clean and free of swarf. Tooling to be stored away correctly after usage and tool holders broken down for the next jobs
⦁ Training other members of staff and new employees as requested by the company in Future’s ways of manufacture, policy adherences and general work methodology. This may include software training, on machine training or anything else that an inexperienced member of staff requires form their peers.
⦁ Ensure all Work Instructions, verbal instruction (from planners/team leads/ops managers) Quality Alerts, and Customer Specifications are adhered to whilst producing components.
⦁ Ensure ‘Total Preventative Maintenance’ is adhered to. This means any issues must be reported to the team leaders and an email sent to the maintenance dept. All improvements and issues that do not affect the machines operation need to be listed on the monthly checklists.
⦁ Any spindle or tool holder collisions must be reported to your team leaders as well as ‘heavy’ cut tooling breaking, so an investigation can take place to identify any damage affecting the future operation of the machine (alignment checks).
