Job Description
Position – CNC Production Engineer
Duration: Permanent
Location – Birmingham B19
Salary – dependent on experience
Days – Monday – Thursday 7:30 – 16:00
Friday – 7:30 – 12:30
The Company
The client is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham and due to their current projected growth, they are now looking to recruit for the position of CNC Production Engineer. The successful applicant will be based at our client’s production facility in Birmingham city centre.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled professional, time-served in a CNC Production role to safely and accurately perform a variety of functions. You will support in the development, manufacture, testing and support of the Company’s projects, to ensure our customers’ tight timescales are met.
Key Skill & Responsibilities
⦁ Proven experience as CNC Production Engineer
⦁ Create detailed production routings, process flow documents, Standard operating procedures, PFMEAs and control plans.
⦁ To ensure efficient production methods are established and maintain continuous improvement of production operations.
⦁ Capable of CNC machine programming via Solidworks CAM in readiness for machining prove-out.
⦁ Improve the present manufacturing and production processes to boost productivity, quality, and profitability for the company on both new products and current production processes.
⦁ Experience within a production engineering environment in both manufacturing and assembly areas.
⦁ HND or equivalent industry experience
Experience & Education
⦁ Preferably 5+ years in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
⦁ Candidate should be Apprenticeship Trained and Ideally qualified to HNC/D in Manufacturing or Mechanical and Production Engineering or to a minimum of ONC/D in Manufacturing or Mechanical and Production Engineering.
⦁ Computer programming and CAD/CAM
⦁ Mechanical aptitude and good math skills preferable.
