Job Description
Job Title: CNC Miller Setter
Job Type: Days based, Perm
Location: Bristol
Hours: Hours: 6am-2pm Mon – Thurs 6am-11am Fri // 2pm-10pm Mon-Thurs 11am-4pm Fri
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 DOE
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a CNC Miller to assist in the manufacturing of pasts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved, and high-quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.
Essential:
⦁ Minimum of 5 years’ experience
⦁ Knowledge of engineering drawings
⦁ Knowledge of manufacturing techniques
⦁ Excellent problem-solving skills
⦁ Good knowledge of Heidenhain controls
Desirable:
⦁ Previous manufacturing experience
⦁ Previous aerospace experience
Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Involvement and attendance at SQDCP meetings in assigned area/s
⦁ Ensuring performance of part production to planned set and run times and Quality requirements
⦁ Communicating Not right first time (NRFT) within assigned areas
⦁ Recording and assisting the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned Team areas and personal responsibility of machines being operated
⦁ Responsible for attending and participating in progress meetings as required
⦁ Responsible for ensuring correct materials, Route Cards, drawing are used to produce components
⦁ Setting up tools, offsets etc ready for your own operation to commence and assist Operators where appropriate
⦁ Ensuring Delivery Schedule Adherence of parts to system / route card dates
⦁ Responsible for ensuring work is completed on time in full to process routing / system date requirements
