Job Description

Job Title: CNC Miller or Turner Programmer 

Job Type: Permanent 

Salary: £16.50ph DOE 

Schedule:  Monday – Thursday 7 till 4:30pm – Friday off 

Some overtime available all at x 1.5 

 

Based in Bury, our client are a precision engineering specialist, supplying manufacturing parts for nuclear turnkey systems, mining, petrochemical and magnetic tape recording for businesses, they have also secured  a contract to make aluminium flanges for a major outer space project.

                                                                                                                                                  

Job description 1 

The role of CNC Milling, setter operator will include the following duties: 

  • Programming, Setting & Operating 3 axis milling machines.
  • Be able to use basic inspection equipment.
  • The ideal candidate will:
  • Have proven experience of programming, setting and operating milling machines using Heidenhein controls.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ideally have an engineering apprenticeship however experience is the overriding factor.
  • Overtime/additional hours may be required, depending on the work load of the business.
  • Be able to work well on there own as well as part of a team.
  • Producing high-quality work to fine tolerances.
  • Professional and self-motivated attitude.
  • Good organisational & time management skills.

 

Job description 2 

The role of CNC Turning, setter operator will include the following duties: 

  • Programming, Setting & Operating Harrison Turning machines.
  • Be able to use basic inspection equipment.
  • The ideal candidate will:
  • Have proven experience of programming, setting and operating Turning machines using Fanuc controls.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ideally have an engineering apprenticeship however experience is the overriding factor.
  • Overtime/additional hours may be required, depending on the work load of the business.
  • Be able to work well on there own as well as part of a team.
  • Producing high-quality work to fine tolerances.
  • Professional and self-motivated attitude.
  • Good organisational & time management skills.
