Salary: £14.50 to £15.50 DOE Annual salary up to £30,628
Overtime Available x 1.5
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8am till 4:30pm – Friday 8am till 2:30pm
You also have the option to start at 7am and finish an hour earlier

Based in Halifax, our client produces high tolerance precision components, manufactured to exacting customer requirements in various industries.

Job description

The role of a CMM operator will include the following duties:

⦁ The ability to operate Mitutoyo CMM’s using COSMOS software
⦁ First off inspection
⦁ Final production inspections
⦁ Liaise with the shop floor on any corrective action required
⦁ Write reports on the inspected components
⦁ Generate NCR reports
⦁ Calibration of the shop floor inspection equipment

Requirements:

⦁ Understanding and ability to read and Interpret engineering Drawings.
⦁ Make judgement calls on tolerance requirements and selection of appropriate method of inspection ( support will be given in this process)
⦁ To be clear and decisive in giving feedback to production staff on First off inspection.
⦁ To be able to make decisions and judgement calls (inspectors License) when needed without supervision.
⦁ Back ground in manufacturing would be an advantage.
⦁ Flexible to work extra hours as needed.
