Job title: Baker                                                      Location: Rugby

Shifts: Monday – Friday                                        Hours: 04:00-12:00 

Salary: £10.42-£12.00 per hour                        

Duties:

• weigh out quantities of ingredients.
• mix ingredients by hand or with catering machinery.
• prepare dough.
• bake products in batches in industrial ovens.
• make quality checks.
• decorate and finish baked items ready for dispatch or shop display.

PAST

This bakery was founded in the wonderful market town of Rugby in 1989 with one retail outlet and a handful of wholesale accounts.

In the early days it was very much a two person operation with the CEO doing all the baking, packing and deliveries whilst taking care of the office, orders, invoicing and administration side of the business.

It was identified early that the growth was in the wholesale business so the decision was taken to close the retail shop and concentrate efforts on building a successful wholesale bakery.

History has shown that this was a correct decision as rapid growth has seen the business expand four times in the last 30 years. Investment in quality equipment has continued and in tandem with a highly skilled team this has driven the production capacity which in turn has seen us increase to a large fleet of twelve delivery vans, delivering six day per week from Rugby to customers cross a 50 mile radius – which covers a huge population of the Midlands.

The business continues to prosper, develop and modernise whilst retaining the craft bakery heritage and focus on quality that this bakery started in 1989.
