Investing in Our People – Training for Tomorrow
Being ranked as one of the UK’s top employers is up there as one of the proudest moments in our history. That success is all down to our employees, their commitment to the business and the amazing level of service they provide daily to our customers.

Our employee numbers have grown since 2003 to just over 100 people. That growth has meant that more than ever we must invest in our people – prepare them for the future and upskill them so we can successfully tackle new challenges.

Our internal training is split into three areas to ensure we are delivering for everyone across the business.

        • A 12-week employee induction programme
        • A programme of continual professional development, and:
        • Ongoing management training
12-Week Employee Induction Programme

Our 12-week employee induction programme is a step-by-step process where all new employees attend at least one half-day per week during their first 12 weeks of joining us.

Hugely popular, it covers all the key skills a person requires in order to operate professionally as a trainee recruitment consultant. We also offer a shorter programme for non-recruitment employees with extra information should they wish to progress their career with us.

Our induction programme has been newly designed but is already delivering a variety of benefits, including:

        • A consistent approach to all internal tasks and procedures
        • People are given the right skills to do their job successfully
        • Additional training needs can be quickly identified

We think it’s fantastic that new employees are being drawn to Workforce, partly because of our induction programme, as they know they will have guidance and support to help them succeed.

Continual Professional Development (CPD)

We also provide skill enhancement courses to our experienced recruitment consultants to refresh their training, update them at times of new legislation and if needed, go back to basics to ensure our professional standards are constantly maintained.

We see huge benefits in our CPD training as employees see we are investing in them, giving them first-hand experience and advancing their skills over the long-term, not just as part of an induction.

Just some examples of CPD training we offer is:

        • Lead generation training
        • Sales strategy and sales improvement training, and;
        • Negotiation skills
Management Training

Many people who have joined Workforce have demonstrated their ability and been promoted internally to a managerial role.

It’s important to us that this progression is supported by coaching to ensure new managers are equipped with the relevant skills to address situations and challenges they may face.

Our management training is a vitally important development tool and dozens of our management team are currently part of the programme and have noticeably developed their skills.
